El Segundo is the South Bay’s northern most beach city lying just south of LAX airport. El Segundo has a hometown vibe that feels like “Mayberry” meets the beach. Known as the “aerospace capital of the world,” El Segundo is home to 12 Fortune 500 companies and many small businesses with strong local roots, including one my favorites, Tyler Surfboards. Like many of it’s neighboring beach cities, El Segundo has a top rated school district and one of the area’s strongest youth sports programs, especially Little League Baseball (George Brett grew up here!). Neighborhoods offer many living options including pedestrian friendly streets, large lots, and many affordable single family homes. Single family homes start in the high $900,000 range and can run north of $2 million.
